Rehearsals at Ars Electronica’s DeepSpace theater for a performance consisting of audio, dance and reactive visuals. I’m currently working on last-mentioned using [pd] & gem and various inputs.

New York City, April 2012.

Due to increased demand of land required for construction sites and storing shipping containers, Linz Hafen decided to silt up half of all three basins located in the commercial harbour, creating 62.000 m² of usable land. In order to gather enough soil material to do so, an artificial island is being created by de-regulating the river Danube 15 km upstream.

The project was urged despite considerable concerns by harbour-based cultural and artistic initaitives and can be tracked via the ongoing photo-documentation by Linz AG. Despite the loss of industrial scape and aesthetics, the new island may be an interesting addition to a inofficial bathing beach on the other side of the river.

Avalanche (Green Menace/Vienna) and the outstanding Scraps of Tape (Tendervision/Malmö) performed at Alte Welt, Linz, 2012.

Extraterrestrially appearing man-formed topography on the headland between Donau and Traun. The mounts mostly consist oft cinder produced by voest alpines coking plants during centuries of operation.
